Have you heard about the Speed and Street Watch schemes?
The Ampthill Community Safety Group need your support! Clophill Parish Council has tried to implement these schemes but don’t have the resources to move them forward.
The Ampthill Community Safety Group, which relies on volunteers are seeking recruits. What is needed? Attending the occasional meeting and providing, at most, a couple of hours a week of your time to help develop some effective Neighbourhood Watch and Speed Watch schemes. You will work with those already formed in neighbouring parishes and gain from their experience.
What is missing is representation from Clophill.
Ampthill Community Safety Group has existed for ten years and hold meetings at Ampthill Fire Station. The members of the Speed and Street Watch schemes in Ampthill and Maulden are looking forward to meeting some new members .
Come along to the next meeting on Tuesday 7 January 20120 at 6:15pm at Ampthill Fire Station.
The Group is forming a new Steering Group that will feature leads for Communication, Recruitment, Admin & Finance and Partnerships who alongside the Street and Speed and Neighbourhood Watch leads for Ampthill, Maulden and Clophill will work with CBC, Beds Police and Fire and other partners to maintain community safety.
