How to recycle your real Christmas tree
Central Beds Council (CBC) will start collecting real Christmas trees from Monday 11 January and will collect until Friday 22 January 2021. They will only collect them on your recycling day, so please make sure you leave your tree out on the right day. Find out when your recycling collection day is.
Where to leave your tree
Just leave your tree next to your recycling bin, so we can collect it. Please don’t put it in a bag or sack. Trees should be no taller than 6ft and have trunks no greater than 3 inches in diameter. No other garden waste will be collected during this period.
Using the tip to get rid of your tree
If your tree’s over 6ft, or you want to dispose of it yourself, you will need to book a slot to dispose of it at one of the tidy tips.
