Central Bedfordshire Council are proposing to introduce a 50mph speed limit on Ampthill Road (A507) and Warren lane, Clophill and Clophill road, Gravenhurst.
Reason for proposal: For avoiding danger to persons and other traffic using the road. The speed limit reduction is part of a road safety scheme intended to enhanced safety for all road users on this stretch of road.
To introduce a 50mph Speed Limit on the following lengths of road in Clophill:-
- Ampthill Road (A507) from a point 155 metres north west of its junction with Warren Lane and extending in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 2180 metres up to a point approximately 153 metres east of the eastern entrance to Cainhoe Golf Club.
- Warren Lane, from the junction with Ampthill Road (A507) and extending in a south westerly direction for approximately 75 metres into the road.
To introduce a 50mph Speed Limit on the following lengths of road in Gravenhurst:-
- Clophill Road, from its junction with Ampthill Road (A507) and extending in a south easterly direction for approximately 55 metres into the road.
