It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas, not long now till the Clophill Christmas lights switch on
We have also secured a road closure for the event
Poppy Appeal 2023
A huge thankyou to all of the village for their support in sponsoring Lamppost Poppies. The village looked fabulous and we raised a huge £665 for the Royal British Legion.
Readshill County Wildlife Site
The Greensand Trust carried out a volunteer day for us at this important acid grassland site. The aim is to encourage some rare wild flowers at the site to increase and ensure the site remains acid grassland. I hope you’ll agree they did a great job of clearing the scrub. Thank you to all the volunteers involved.
Before and after task CWS- 7th Nov 2023
Townshott Allotments Water Lottery Project
We have had the pipe work installed via a clever mole technology to minimise the disruption to residents. We are now awaiting a valve to be put in place and the connection done by Anglian water. This will be in place by next spring for our allotmenteers to use.
Footpaths
The footpath to the Castle from the High St is closed due to the bridges needing repairs and being dangerous. It is hoped that Central Bedfordshire Council will able to get this done before Christmas.
We are seeing an increasing amount of horse manure on paths, this is a gentle reminder to all owners that footpaths are not to be used for horses, only designated bridal ways and roads.
