Chairmans Award
The September Chairmans award for Volunteer Services to the village, this was awarded to Val Martin for all her work with the Heritage Trust, Clophill United Charities, and keeping the village
moral up with her inspiring crochet projects, especially during covid.
The Poppy Appeal
With the up and coming Royal British Legion Remembrance Poppy appeal, the Parish Council will be promoting this via a Lamppost Poppy Drive. The Poppies will be £5 each (or more if you would like!). We have ordered 100 Poppies for the village and you are invited to sponsor a Poppy.
Let’s fill our village with Poppies for Remembrance.

Grant Aid Applications Are Open!!!
A reminder to all village organisations, the Councils Grant aid fund is still open for applications. So if you need some new equipment etc please apply to the clerk by the 19th October for consideration. Details can be found on our website at the following link:

Open Space Update
A new Toddler Slide has been installed at the recreation ground this month. Also a number of maintenance items to ensure your safety will be carried out over the coming months. Also advance notice of some village tree works, the enormous Lyme’s at the Green are in need of reduction and thinning as well as removal of dead wood. This work will take place over November. In January Pinehill will be thinned to bring it back into health and remove the dead or deceased Pines. The Ash Trees that line Church path will also be reduced in height.
