The Parish Council have just been advised that the Police will be holding a number of Community Surgeries across the Central Bedfordshire area during 2019/2020.
The intention is to increase their visibility, availability and accessibility to the public. This is being done in partnership with Central Bedfordshire Council’s Community Safety Team. The focus will be to hear residents’ concerns and offer appropriate advice.
They will also use the time to survey any priorities which the public may have, and use them with the Priority Setting Meetings to focus our efforts within the Community.
This is also an open invitation for Parish and Ward Councillors to join us at these events depending on availability.
Depending on how these are received and if there is an evident and pressing need the Police may schedule in additional pop-up events in the form of Surgeries as demand dictates.
