Pinehill Volunteer Day
A big thankyou to our group of village volunteers who spent a sunny Saturday morning clearing fallen trees and creating wild life piles at the Clump.
We are working with the forestry commission to bring the area back to health. This will include some thinning of pine trees later this year.

Recycling Centre Temporary Closures
Starting from the end of May until August 2023, CBC will be temporarily closing three of the household waste recycling centres – Biggleswade, Ampthill and Leighton Buzzard. These closures will take place consecutively, each for a three-week period, to carry out vital structural maintenance work to ensure they continue to run efficiently.
To ensure that our services continue uninterrupted, we will be closing the recycling centres on different dates to provide residents with alternative locations to visit.
Due to the nature of the works, we were unable to carry this out during the colder months as they may have impacted the length of closures. The closure dates are as follows:
- Biggleswade: Monday 22 May – Tuesday 13 June, inclusive
- Ampthill: Wednesday 14 June – Wednesday 5 July, inclusive
- Leighton Buzzard: Thursday 6 July – Wednesday 26 July, inclusive
